In the past, when paper money was introduced, it seemed ridiculous. Many people asked "Why would they exchange their goods and services for papers?" In the present day, a lot of people are asking a very similar question in relation to blockchain technology "Why would they exchange their goods and services for money that they can't touch?"

Throughout history, the most important quality of any currency has been the faith of the people using it as well as the number of people willing to accept it and exchange their goods and services. If you're going to exchange farm products or anything for a currency, you have to trust that the currency, even if it's just a piece of paper, will be worth something when you need it in the future. Once this quality is met, it becomes currency.
